Are you prepared for the future?

No one knows what the future holds; that’s why it is so important to plan for all eventualities now.  If you are unsure what provisions you need to make for the future, don’t worry – we can give you all the advice you need to make difficult but important decisions.

Have you provided for your loved ones?

If you die without having made a Will (known as dying “intestate”), the law is left to decides what happens to your estate – and the outcome may not be what you would have chosen.

Will and Probate SolicitorFor instance, the intestacy laws make no provision for “common-law” partners – so if you are living with your partner but are unmarried, he or she could be left in a very vulnerable situation if something should happen to you.  You can avoid this by making a Will, and regularly reviewing it.

You can help reduce the burden on loved ones should you eventually be unable to look after your  affairs in the future by granting an Enduring Power of Attorney now which would enable a named relative/friend to act on your behalf in due course. This could save a lot of expense in the future if otherwise an application has to be made to the Court of Protection

We can offer you straight-forward advice and assistance with all aspects of Wills and Probate, including:

  • Wills & Will Reviews
  • Powers of Attorney (Enduring and otherwise)
  • Estate Tax Planning
  • Living Wills
  • Estate Administration (Probate)
  • Probate Property Sale
  • Deeds of Variation on Death

We can also help you plan your Will to mitigate the burden of Inheritance Tax.

Have you been appointed Executor or Administrator of an estate?

This important responsibility lasts for life but can be time-consuming and complicated.  We are on hand to offer you the benefit of our experience and advise you at all stages to make the process easier for you.
